Scripture Focus: “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” — 2 Corinthians 4:7
We live in a world that celebrates strength, perfection, and self-sufficiency. But Paul reminds us that God works through weakness. We are like fragile clay jars—ordinary, imperfect, and easily broken. And yet, God has chosen to place His most precious treasure—the gospel of Jesus Christ—within us.
Why? So that the power and glory are clearly His, not ours.
This truth is both humbling and freeing. It means we don’t have to be impressive to be useful. We don’t have to hide our cracks. In fact, it’s often through those very cracks that His light shines the brightest.
Reflection Questions:
• Where do I feel weak or inadequate right now?
• How might God be using that weakness to reveal His strength?
Practice This Week: Speak boldly because you believe. Share a word of encouragement or truth with someone—even if you feel like a “jar of clay.”
